I am an American citizen, but have lived in Japan for the past 2 years.  I have been working as a translator of Japanese <-> English for the local government.  I also coordinate events promoting International Understanding.  I am a peer counselor (Prefectural Advisor) for participants of the JET Programme in Japan, as well as Director of the USA Nationality Group - a support group for Americans living in Japan.  I also volunteer for a peace-building NPO called the Asian Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka (APCC).

I enjoy working with and learning about foreign cultures.  I am mainly interested in being an advisor or program coordinator for exchange students at a University, however I am also interested in any other jobs dealing with global cultures.  My ultimate goal is to touch as many lives as possible and promote global peace and intercultural understanding.
