Basically, I love teaching. It is what I was trained for, professional. In my college days, I used to do voluntary work in grade schools where I taught students English grammar, moral and physical education subjects. When I was accepted in a university for a teaching job, I was given extension and research assignments besides teaching. I had a number of locally published research works that were presented before the university's research department.
My professional teaching experience was confined largely in handling college and university students. I taught English, business, philosophy (includes other humanities subjects) and technical writing subjects. In the same vein, business english becomes my forty.
I have also strong background in school management and administration. I was appointed department head for a particular college course program. In addition, I chaired the committee that prepares the curriculum of said course program. I handled also the production of the School's newsletter for sometime.
Besides teaching, I was also given managerial and supervisory responsibilities. In such capacity, I had the opportunity to handle the technical aspect of the formulation of a university comprehensive development plan. Planning and plan implementation become part of my professional strength.
Professionally, I'm a diligent, hard working, goal-oriented, team player and efficient person. I can work extended office hours and with less supervision. Furthermore, having worked in an international school make me capable of dealing and working smoothly in a multi-national set up.
Personally, I'm a friendly, outgoing and athletic individual. Health wise, I am a non-smoker and an occasional drinker. My hobbies consist of biking, reading, TV viewing, swimming and playing basketball. My obsession in the sport of basketball led me to the development of my coaching and game-officiating skills.
