I have before attained a Chinese Government Expert License as an experienced graduate teacher, having attained an internationally recognised TEFL certificate. I have taught children aged 3-18 and all adults levels, beginner to advanced. I have also prepared children for Cambridge and Trinity College London international exams. I have used my teaching to live abroad - in France, Spain and China - thus acquainting myself with major world languages and a variety of cultures. I have a keen interest in literature and current affairs, especially with reference to business, commerce, criminology and jurisprudence.
I have just finished studying Mandarin Chinese at Anhui Normal University for eight months. Before that, and since, I have resorted to self-study. I am awaiting a result for the ººÓïˮƽ¿¼ÊÔ (H.S.K.) exam that I took in June of this year.
International Bridges for Justice is a not-for-profit NGO involved in the formation of a framework legal-aid service for disadvantaged sectors of society, a project undertaken with the backing of the relevant Chinese state authorities and in accordance with domestic law. I undertook an internship for them where my duties involved comparative research, the design of maps for their website and participation in conferences as a photographer.
