Throughout my college years, I have gained leadership and teamwork skills. In my sophomore year, I co-founded the badminton club with my friends and served as the public relations manager. I was responsible for planning events for attracting new members, and promoting our club through emails, posters, interest meetings, and social events. I was successful in helping to recruit more than forty members for the club in one semester. Through this experience, I learned how to act as an effective and responsible team player by mediating interactions leaders and members of the team. I will be able to cooperate with a people of diverse backgrounds and strive for a common goal as a team.
I am also a fast learner and have the ability to deal with problems in a challenging environment. When I was volunteering for the NGO WWOOF, I worked for an organic farm in a foreign country. This was a whole new environment for me, and I faced a number challenges during this experience, such as getting used to the intense labor, communicating with the host and adapting to the Japanese lifestyle. Nonetheless, I patiently dealt with each problem and overcame them. This proves that I am able to think independently and deal with the problems that I face every day without being overwhelmed. I will able to be flexible and adapt to new working environments quickly.
