Dear Sir and/or Madam;
I am enclosing my resume in hopes that your industry may assist me in finding a career as related to electronics reliability and electrical design engineering in aerospace industry in China.
As you see from my resume, I received my bachelor degree in electrical engineering major, at California State Polytechnic University Pomona in June 2007. I have been studying for my master degree in electrical engineering major at California State University Long Beach since Fall 2009. Throughout both my undergraduate and graduate studies, my strong emphases were in electronics and micro-electronics with reliability and safety engineering.
Throughout my career history, I had worked for PDS Technical Resource as a contract electrical engineer for one of their biggest clients in American Aerospace Industries. My employment period at Crane Aerospace was from November 2007 to April 2009. In this career opportunity, I supported reliability engineer team to analyze electronic operations from hardware schematics by interpretations, and suggestions to make changes by discussions with hardware design engineer group that needed to replace electronic parts and components. In addition to the parts selection, I anticipated in fine-tuning failure components, repairing these components to ensure that they met all design requirements during the redesign process. In supporting the reliability engineer team, I published failure mode and effect analysis for their entire emergency brake control unit to estimate the overall failure rates per annual flight calendar hour, and the overall cost of repair work to warranty in corrective actions and Pareto.
In the summer 2006, I had joined Southern California Edison International in San Onofre, California, one of the biggest utilities industries in the United States, for a summer internship program. During this internship opportunity, I assisted their design project engineer team and project managers to localize any missing data, irrelevant tag identifications from each of their plant drawings, and recorded these tag IDs for research. I published report documents to support documentation engineers who needed the documents to estimate annual budget on their project scope. I also renewed and updated electrical parameters on CAD drawings to support field design engineers and other on-site specialists. With this small help of processing, Southern California Edison demonstrated me how their two pressurized steam generators to produce about seventy percent of electricity to Southern California annually.
To my best knowledge and my career history as shown above I strongly believe that my roles in the combination of aerospace electronic engineering and utility engineering background will be an asset to the growth of aerospace industry in China; and more importantly, I believe that my high energy with a sense of humor to be a leading role is a huge benefit to the industry, and I look forward to seeing you in the future.
Sincerely,
David Chen
