Hello,
my name is Paul Roth. I am a 27 years old German with an accounting and audit background. I have a naturally affinity for numbers and enjoy working independently as well as in teams. During my studies I focused mainly on controlling, reporting and taxation related courses as it was my goal at this time to become a statutory auditor.
While I enjoy about my current work that I am able to learn a lot in a very condensed time I found myself not being satisfied with the constant struggle to acquire needed information and documents without being able to actually improve processes and creating lasting value.
In my current work I learned to adapt fast to changing environments and master new tasks. I started taking over responsibility in my first year by taking charge of the quarterly reviews of a middle sized Japanese subsidiary. In my current second year I took charge of the statutory audit of the same company. In my other engagements I am mainly working within bigger teams to meet reporting deadlines. During this time I gained confidence in myself and my ability to work independently as well as in teams to achieve a set goals.
I believe my time at PwC to have been a great experience, however due to my dissatisfaction with my role as an external auditor and my wish to experience living and working in China I decided to look for opportunities in China.
While I believe finance related work to fit my set of skills well I am generally also open for other interesting positions.
I want to thank you for taking the time and hope to hear from your soon.
Yours sincerely
Paul Roth
