Dear reader,



I present you my candidature to become part of your educational project.



I have a bachelor’s degree in classics, that is, the career that studies both foundational western languages, Latin and old Greek, their culture and their legacy in the present languages and western cultures. I have recently finished my faculty formation master, which is the official master that allows to be a teacher in Spain in any official school, be it private or public. It is also required to teach in the EOI (Official Languages School). In that master we had both subjects about general education and pedagogy, which granted us knowledge about the learning progress of the students and the methods that today exist and the pedagogic innovations that currently appear, and specialized subjects that fits our background and previous studies, in my case, languages in general and classics.



With the combination of both degrees I am able to teach not only the classic languages but also the languages I am fluent in, Spanish and Catalan. Because the learning process of studying Latin and old Greek is very similar to any other modern L2 language, the methods and progression are quite the same. Not only that, but knowing the roots of said languages, especially mastering Latin, mother language of the Spanish and other Romanic languages, allows me to introduce studying techniques that grant a meaningful and motivational learning to the classroom hardly possible if one does not have such background.



As a teacher I can contribute with rigour, patience and dedication in the classroom but also with deep listening, helpful attitude and project commitment outside it. As the languages I have learnt show, I am not solely interested in languages by its usefulness but mainly motivated by a sincere love and curiosity for them. Being abroad would be a real experience and a good chance to improve my understanding of the languages I already know and learn, at the same time, new ones, being also highly motivated in knowing new and distant cultures and ways of thinking.



Because all of that I would be really interested in joining your project and I think I could be a valuable asset for it. I am eager to answer any doubt about my candidature.
