My background and extensive experience in security threat assessment and horizon scanning as a security analyst in both the banking and public sector, coupled with my security management and audit experience and my knowledge in security solutions, will enable me to make a valuable contribution in security work.



The practice of good research, analytical and writing skills is a basic function of the security threat assessment duties which I have taken part in. These duties have required me to exercise clear, concise thinking and interpersonal communication skills while working in various teams and individual projects throughout my career. My positions as an intelligence analyst in the Singapore Police Force, Bank of America and the National Security Co-Ordination Secretariat required me to be on constant alert for local and regional threats and trends, especially APAC, that may pose a concern on security for public and private sectors. These positions required me to generate reports to higher management and recommend possible outcomes and appropriate actions. These skills were especially honed during my stints as a research analyst in two separate government organizations, where I practiced these skills to deliver sound and consistent analytical products for use by higher offices within the Singapore Government. My positions in Certis CISCO as a security consultant and my last position at Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore requires me to conduct both internal and external security audits based on government and internal regulations and requirements, as well as provide security solutions for any gaps uncovered, with considerations to possible constraints based on resource management.



Due to the nature of my work duties as a research analyst, I have a high level of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and web-based research tools.
