My name is Varinia Bohoslavsky and I am from Argentina. I am an EFL Teacher by training and profession, and I was also awarded a temporary Minnesota Teaching License for ESL (K-12) in 2002. I believe that my qualifications and my self-demanding and dynamic personality, coupled with my profound interest in making a difference in the lives of other human beings, make me a highly prepared and motivated professional.
As far as my personality traits are concerned, these are some of the most important ones that give a clear picture of myself as an individual and as a professional:
* Flexibility ¨C I am a very flexible person, and my experience of having lived and taught in very different contexts (namely Argentina, the US, Mexico) has provided me with the personal tools to adapt to varying people¡¯s needs and backgrounds.
* Committed to quality education ¨C I believe there should not be any other kind of education, except QUALITY education; reason enough to aim always at the best.
* Open-mindedness and the ability to interact with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds ¨C My life experiences have not only made me an even more open-minded person, but they have impelled me to be immersed in contexts where these varieties exist, since the possibility for social and personal growth lies mostly in the exchange and understanding of our human diversity.
I am convinced that my training, experience and abilities as a language teacher, alongside my willingness to make a difference, would make me a sound and valuable member of any educational community. While addressing their educational needs and facilitating their learning process, I would also aim at helping students become more culturally-aware and tolerant human beings, since I consider this to be an essential role in any teacher¡¯s career.
