My name is Alice Lam. I was born in Hong Kong and raised in the United States. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design Studies with a concentration in Business Administration from North Carolina States University, which is one of the top 50 public universities in United States, and have earned certification in TEFL (a 150-hour course including English for Specific Purposes).
Currently, I am an English teacher at New Channel in Nantong. While teaching at the school, I have established my education philosophies and teaching methods. As a result, I am a compassionate teacher who remains sensitive to students' need, employing effective listening and providing individual and whole group support, offering positive encouragement to keep students focused and motivated. In addition to teaching, I also have experience in helping my students to apply for universities/school abroad.
Moreover, my experiences as a program intern at Confucius Institute and receptionist at the Intensive English Program at North Carolina States University together with my study abroad experience have provided me with opportunities to interact with people with different levels of English.
I believe my well-rounded education and experiences are great assets to becoming successful in my future career.
