Objectives of the study (Further research plan)
Sustainability and natural resources conservation are of the most modern and common concepts currently in time where natural resource are becoming less and scarce due to the unjust use during the past centuries and the huge increase in world population. Sustainability is not the result of one clear and definite concept. It is basically a political approach and a constant dynamic evolving life rather than a design problem need some magic solution to be applied on the ground. Developing policies and framework for balanced and equitable sustainable land planning, use, transportation, and the application of these concepts and criterions in the cities around the world is a noble work taking into account that most of the cities around the world are still in the growing phase.
The purpose and objectives of my study is to focus on Fiber-reinforced Concrete as one of the areas that deal with improving the durability of Concrete. The technique of using Fiber manufactured fittings in Concrete is the best way to compensate for iron and steel grating. Fiber additives to the Concrete paste will contribute in improving ductility and toughness of the Concrete structure; susceptibility to Cracking, fire resistance, and durability of Concrete; and apparently, contributing in adding another safety factor to the Concrete structure of reducing rusting dilemma. Fibers also assure good correlation with Concrete and help solve the problem of formation of Cracks at early stages so as inhibit Cracks in Concrete at plasticity stage (plastic state). Other issues of concern include, Fiber's influence to the Concrete tensile strength, its capacity to reduce the susceptibility of Concrete to explode when exposed to fire due to the melting of polymer Fiber and freeing of steam pressure in Concrete.
